Tateguru is the first single of of Mr Pigeons Sophomore album ‘Blue Heron.’ Tageguru means Ancestors in Shona, in his praise poetry style Mr Pigeons pays homage to his home country and ancestors. Read more about it in his Bubblegum Magazine interview. Future Ancestor travelled to Zimbabwe to Mr Pigeons’ ancestral village to film the project featuring his family members.

The film is part of director Charlotte de Bekker’s circular video project: A series of films de Bekker is creating with Berlin-based collaborators to further explore the circular format.
